Jungfrau

Jungfrau railway in Switzerland transport passengers on the altitude of 3454 meters since 1912. It is situated near Interlaken, famous ski resort in that country. You can achieve Jungfrau from two places: Grindelwald or Lauterbrunnen. These two lines connects in Kleine Scheidegg at 2061 meters. Further, track goes shortly on ground and goes into 7 kilometres tunnel, which will bring us to the end (it is often used a name for that rail: Roof of Europe). On top, it is worth seeing the Ice Palace and breathtaking views, for example on Eiger peak (3970 meters). From the beginning, this railway used electric engines.
